In my practice, I teach you how to kill off your “body troubles” like:
Tension Headaches Low Back Pain Sciatic Pain Bad Posture A High-Stress Job Shallow Breathing “My Body Just Hates Me” Syndrome
How? Glad you asked. I practice Shiatsu massage. Its focus is whole-body health and wellbeing. Quite frankly, it’s wonderful. The great thing about Shiatsu is that it meets you where you’re at. Some clients leave feeling relaxed and refreshed, others leave feeling energized and ready to tackle life. The word that comes to my when I think of Shiatsu mind is restorative. You can read more about it here.
I take pride in my self-care material. I don’t just consider myself a massage therapist, but a health educator as well. Shiatsu addresses the whole body, but everybody has a few troublesome areas. For those areas, I teach an innovative blend of fascial stretching, breathing exercises, joint mobility, and self-massage techniques.
My philosophy of health is this: gradual, continual change. People don’t like big massive change all at once. It’s like being hit with a baseball bat. Sometimes the bat itself (in this metaphor) is a good thing, but it usually leaves a bruise. Instead, if I can show you how to get a 10% improvement in your pain or stress levels on a regular basis, those changes are much more likely to take root.
Vibe is all about joy. I believe that our bodies are meant to be a source of joy in our lives. The joy of movement, of breathing, of experiencing life. This is what it’s about for me: helping you get more of those good feelings – those good vibes – into your life.
